OUR TEAM
SANDY poole
Founder & Head Of Design
Sandra Poole (Director/Producer): Born in Milan, and raised in LA, her multi-cultural background has been impactful in her approach to storytelling.
She has proudly accomplished over 300 hours of community service, working with marginalized folks, disabled, and homeless. Through these experiences, people and the planet have become the heart of all of her creative work.
Sandy studied in Milan at Istituto Marangoni and graduated with a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and has 12 years of experience in the fashion industry with successful designs seen at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus. Beyond working for major brands, Sandy has worked on set in the costume department for productions from Warner Brothers, Universal, and Sony. She has dedicated much of her career to more sustainable design practices, and in the research and development of regenerative fibers.
Sandy first-hand understands the injustices and devastating effects of the fashion industry on people and planet. Her belief is that the current mainstream narrative in sustainability is limiting and often divisive - Common Thread is the vehicle to change that through powerfully moving stories.
